Work From Home Scams and How to Avoid Them
With millions of people constantly searching for ways to make money from home, it should come as no surprise that there are a lot of work from scams out there. I’ll show you how to avoid them.
Do your homework. Whenever you’re considering investing a substantial amount of money in an online income opportunity, be skeptical. I don’t care how good the sales letter is that you’re reading. And it really can be the most amazing opportunity in the world, but don’t believe it yet. Do your due diligence and research the opportunity thoroughly.
Visit online forums where people discuss their experiences with the opportunity in question. If you read about a lot of negative experiences, this should be a cause for concern. However, be suspicious even when reading reviews in online forums. Why? Because the person writing the negative review might be biased for a few reasons. For instance, they might have invested money in a perfectly legitimate opportunity but they were too lazy to put some work into it. Thus, what they’re really upset about is their inability to “get rich quick.” Obviously, take their comments with a grain of salt. One example of such a person is when you read about someone calling all MLM opportunities scams and illegal pyramid schemes. This is nonsense, and either the person is ignorant or they are deliberately trying to be misleading. MLM has been a legal, ethical model of distribution for the last few decades. Chances are, these bitter people spent money on an MLM hoping to make money without working hard. Well, there is no free lunch.
Another reason why reviewers in forums might be biased is that they might be trying to sell you their own opportunity by bashing another one. Always read the full review to see if they are trying to sell you on a competitor’s service or opportunity. Sometimes this is obvious and sometimes it’s more subtle.
Lastly, if something sounds too good to be true, run the other way! There is no simple way to create wealth on the internet. All legitimate opportunities require time and hard work. It’s as simple as that.
